Welcome to CityStaffs (CS) (“CS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of services offered through https://www. citystaffs.com and the CS mobile application (together, the “Platform”). This includes all the services available on or through the Platform (collectively, the “Services”). These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy, available at https: //www.citystaffs.com/privacy-policy, along with any additional guidelines, terms, or disclaimers we may release periodically (“Supplemental Terms”). In the event of a conflict between these Terms and any applicable Supplemental Terms, the latter shall prevail for those specific Services. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms, and that you have the authority to bind yourself or the entity you represent. If you do not agree to any of these Terms, you should refrain from using the Services.

Overview of Services

  1. CS provides a digital interface through which users (“Customers”) can discover, schedule, and pay for a variety of at-home or on-demand services from independent third-party professionals (“Service Providers”).
  2. The actual services rendered by the Service Providers are referred to as “Professional Services.” CS itself does not provide these services and bears no responsibility for the delivery, quality, or outcome of such services. The Service Providers are solely accountable for their work and are not employed by CS. They are not agents or representatives of CS Ltd.
  3. The Platform is strictly for individual and personal use unless there is a separate written agreement with CS authorizing business or commercial usage.
  4. Services offered on the Platform may operate under the CS brand or other trade names owned or licensed by us.
  5. CS may contact you by SMS, email, or WhatsApp for notifications, service updates, and promotional messages. If you wish to opt out, contact us at support@citystaffs.com or update your communication preferences via your account settings. Opting out may limit the functionality of the Services.
  6. You may be required to provide identification for verification in some cases before receiving services. Refusal to comply may result in denial of service.
  7. CityStaffs Credits:
    1. We may offer promo codes or credits (“CS Credits”) at our discretion. These are subject to specific terms.
    2. You agree not to misuse, resell, or publicly share CS Credits without prior approval.
    3. Credits may vary between users and can be modified, disabled, or revoked at any time without liability.
    4. Credits are non-cashable and may expire before use.
    5. We may deduct or cancel credits if we detect misuse, fraud, or violations of applicable terms.

Account Registration

  1. To use our Services, you must create a personal account (“Account”) on the Platform. You must be at least 18 years old to register.
  2. You agree that the information provided at the time of registration is accurate and complete. Any updates or changes must be promptly reflected in your account details.
  3. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. Inform us immediately at support@citystaffs.com if your credentials are compromised.
  4. All actions carried out under your Account will be treated as your own, whether performed by you or someone else. CS will not be held liable for unauthorized activity.
  5. By registering, you agree to receive communication from us regarding transactions, service updates, promotional offers, and other relevant matters. 3 User Content.
  6. Our Platform may include interactive features that allow users with registered accounts to post, upload, publish, display, transmit, or submit reviews, comments, feedback, suggestions, ideas, or other content (“User Content”).
  7. To ensure the quality and accountability of services provided on the CS Platform, we may request reviews from you about Service Providers, and they may also leave reviews about you. You agree that all reviews must be honest and based on actual experiences. Misleading or inaccurate information is strictly prohibited. These reviews help us assess the performance and appropriateness of both Customers and Service Providers. If we determine, in our sole discretion, that your conduct or reviews violate our guidelines or standards, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and remove your access to the Platform.
  8. By submitting any User Content, you grant CS a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, and royalty-free license to use, display, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, and distribute such content in connection with our Services. This includes the use of your content for marketing, promotions, service improvement, and legal purposes.
  9. You waive any moral rights or similar rights in relation to User Content and agree that we may use your content without acknowledgment or compensation.
  10. CS reserves the right to remove or restrict access to any User Content that we determine, at our sole discretion, to be in violation of these Terms or otherwise inappropriate.

Consent to Use Data

  1. By using our Platform, you agree to our collection and use of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy. The policy details how we collect, process, store, and share personal data.
  2. You further consent to our use of your data for analytics, service improvement, marketing, promotional campaigns, and offering new features or benefits. We may also share data with affiliated companies or third-party service providers solely for the provision and enhancement of the Services.
  3. Where required by law, we may share your data with government or law enforcement agencies in compliance with legal processes. You understand and accept that we may do so without prior notice.

Bookings

  1. Service Requests: The CS Platform allows you to schedule various services by selecting your desired time slot and service type. We strive to match you with a suitable Service Provider. In the rare event that no Service Provider is available at your chosen time, we will notify you and propose an alternative.
  2. Booking Confirmation: Once your service request is submitted, we will send you a confirmation via email, SMS, or app notification. Upon confirmation, you may be prompted to complete payment based on the method shown during the booking process.
  3. Cancellations: You may cancel a booking before it has been confirmed without any charges. If your booking has already been confirmed and you choose to cancel, cancellation fees may apply in accordance with our Cancellation Policy.
  4. Substitutions: If your assigned Service Provider becomes unavailable or cancels, CS will provide an alternative from our pool of verified professionals to ensure minimal disruption.

Pricing, Fees, and Payment Terms

  1. CS reserves the right to charge for services booked through the Platform, including applicable service fees, product costs, and any other charges associated with the use of our Platform.
  2. Charges and Fees for Services:
    1. When you book a service, you agree to pay the following:
      1. The base service fee shown at the time of booking.
      2. Any add-ons or extra services requested during the service.
      3. Reimbursement for items or products used during the service.
      4. Applicable CS platform service or convenience fees (collectively, “Charges”).
    2. Payment can be made via debit/credit cards, mobile wallets, bank transfers, or any other method we may introduce. In some cases, “Pay After Service” (cash or digital) may be available. You acknowledge that the final bill may also include taxes, safety charges, or welfare contributions.
    3. Payment timing (upfront or post-service) will be specified during the booking. Any variation in available payment modes is at our discretion.
    4. Charges collected are transferred to Service Providers, with CS acting as their limited payment collection agent. CS does not take ownership of the service fee beyond the agreed platform facilitation charge.
    5. All amounts shown on the Platform are inclusive of VAT or other applicable taxes.
    6. We may revise our pricing or fees at any time. However, changes will not apply to bookings confirmed prior to the change.
    7. Unless otherwise stated, all payments are final and non-refundable. Refunds, if any, will be processed at our sole discretion or as required by applicable law.
    8. Pricing may vary during periods of high demand. We will make efforts to notify you in advance, but you are responsible for any charges incurred under your account, regardless of notice.
  3. Third-Party Payment Processors: Payments made through the Platform may be processed by third-party providers. We are not responsible for errors or delays caused by such providers, but we will assist in resolving any payment issues that may arise.
  4. Cancellations: If you cancel a booking after confirmation, a cancellation fee may apply as per our Cancellation Policy. CS reserves the right to deduct or charge this amount accordingly.
  5. Subscriptions: We may offer subscription plans that provide special discounts, priority access, or other benefits. These plans will have separate terms that form part of these Terms upon enrollment.
  6. Gratuities: You are not obligated to tip Service Providers. While any gratuity you choose to give is appreciated, it is entirely voluntary and at your discretion. Tipping is not required and is not included in your service charges.

Customer Conduct

  1. Discrimination against Service Professionals is strictly prohibited.
  2. Customers must treat Service Professionals respectfully and provide a clean, safe environment.
  3. Service Professionals can refuse service if the conditions are unsafe or the customer is abusive.
  4. Violations may lead to termination of access to the platform.
  5. Customers are liable for failure to disclose risks to the Service Professional.
  6. Any misconduct by a Service Professional must be reported within 48 hours.

Third-Party Services

  1. UC includes third-party content/services but is not responsible for them.
  2. Users interact with third-party services at their own risk and must follow their terms and policies.

  4. You must provide true and updated information.
  5. You must not interfere with or misuse the services (e.g., hacking, unauthorized access).
  6. You are prohibited from soliciting Service Professionals outside the platform.
  7. You must not upload harmful or illegal content and must respect intellectual property laws.

Our Intellectual Property

  1. All rights to the Services are owned or licensed by CS.
  2. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the Services.
  3. CS may use any feedback you provide without restriction or compensation.

Term and Termination

  1. CS may terminate or limit your access for violations, legal issues, or at its discretion.
  2. You can terminate your agreement by notifying CS.
  3. Upon termination, your account and access will expire, but certain terms may still apply.

Disclaimers and Warranties

  1. Services are provided “as is”; no guarantees are made about performance or accuracy.
  2. CS is not responsible for the Service Professionals’ conduct or quality of services.
  3. CS disclaims liability for third-party interactions, system failures, or data loss.
  4. Users assume all risks when hiring Service Professionals outside the platform.
  5. CS’s maximum liability is limited to either the commission earned from the booking or ₦100,000, whichever is lower.
  6. Nothing overrides mandatory rights under applicable law.
